Information about Christianah
I am passionate about learning and teaching, impacting children, building confidence and encouraging a "can do attitude". I measure my teaching effectiveness by the success of my students. I have published a book for KS2/KS3 grammar revision and flash cards for English Vocabulary - age 9 to 14. I enjoy what I do; hope to enthuse the most reluctant learner and hone the skills of the keen learner.
Availability: I am available over the weekends, evenings and holidays.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have 5 years experience of tutoring within the framework of the 2014 National Curriculum for KS2/KS3 English, including English GCSE.
I have experience of tutoring English from year 3 to GCSE level. I have tutored students from the Sutton Grammars as well as online students from far and wide.
My overall approach is to teach and encourage Critical Thinking and Analysis. This approach has enabled each student to blossom and become independent thinkers with remarkable improvement in English and other subjects such as history, geography and religious studies. Typically, GCSE students only require lessons to complete their individual learning plan and they continue to thrive long after lessons have stopped.
My knowledge of the depth and breadth of the curriculum enables me to do the gap analysis - this helps me to develop a plan to bridge the gap and focus on the main building blocks for each students transition from point a to point b. I am open to parents (11 plus) who wish to observe the zoom lessons and have a hands on approach, so that they can continue to support their child in an objective manner.
