Lesson Information : After an initial assessment your child’s strategy will be plotted exclusively for him/her to ensure they are proficient in: Verbal Reasoning Non-Verbal Reasoning Maths English It’s important to note that Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning are NOT taught in schools but an understanding of these subjects is essential as these are the four areas which the 11 plus is centered on. I will help your child move from where they currently are to where they need to be. Knowing that they are developing the necessary skills to not only take the exam but more importantly be prepared for life in a grammar school. With enough practice nearly anyone should be able to pass the exam but what your child will learn from me is how to think for herself. How to deconstruct a problem, break it down and assess the individual parts. Weigh up the possible solutions and come up with an answer. These are essential skills that will serve her for life! As an additional benefit you will likely see progression through sets at their current school as their knowledge and understanding broadens in all subjects.
