Hello! I’m Yumna , an IB graduate and third-year Accounting and Finance student at the University of East Anglia. I’m passionate about helping students reach their full academic potential in a way that’s engaging and enjoyable.

I take the time to get to know each of my students, understanding their unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles. By tailoring lessons to fit their individual needs, I ensure that every student feels confident and supported. I believe learning should be fun, so I incorporate interactive activities and approaches to keep students motivated and excited about their studies.

Availability: I try to be very flexible with my availability and can offer multiple sessions a week if so necessary. I offer 1.5 hour and 2 hour lessons too if you feel this will better benefit your child. I also offer discounted bulk packages for 5 hours and 10 hours if this is in your interest.

Experience: From March 2022 to September 2024, I worked as an official teacher with Myrtle Learning based in Rochester. I worked with students in both 1-1 online and classroom settings to help guide them through the curriculum and skills needed for their 11+ exams including Maths, English, Verbal, and Non-Verbal Reasoning, ensuring they understand all concepts thoroughly. Now working as a private tutor, I provide my own tailored classwork questions to help students practice and apply their knowledge, I assign and mark custom-made homework sheets to ensure consistent practice and development and I provide exam papers and end of unit assessment to test their long term retention and understanding.

Building positive relationships with my students is crucial to me. I want to make them feel confident in their learning and maintain a positive attitude towards their education. I pay special attention to each and every individual students, identifying and addressing their unique weak points, developing tailored methods to help them grasp challenging topics effectively. Overall, my goal is to support each student in achieving top marks and unlocking their full potential.
