Information about Alice

I hold a recent Master’s degree in Psychology and Child Development from UCL, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am a CPD accredited ADHD and neurodivergent coach and have over 15 years experience working with children of all ages and adults too.

I am detail-oriented and aim to tailor and personalise content and materials to meet the needs of my clients and students. I help students consolidate what they already know while introducing new insights to support and extend their learning. I also keep fully up to date with new research and findings in psychology, bringing this into students’ sessions where relevant and presenting it in an accessible way.

Availability: I am available during the week and after school - please get in contact to discuss any particular times as my availability does vary depending on my coaching.

I remain free on Saturday mornings, and some Sunday mornings upon request.

Willing to travel: 2 miles

Experience: I have over 15 years’ experience teaching and working with children and adults of all ages in a range of settings. I began my career as a TEFL teacher, working in Japan for nearly two years, where I developed flexible and creative approaches to teaching in order to support students with different learning styles and needs.

As a recent psychology postgraduate, I have a strong and up-to-date understanding of the content my students are studying, along with a wide range of resources to support their learning. I am enthusiastic about current research and regularly read academic journals and new literature to inform both my teaching and my ongoing professional development. I am confident in teaching and helping students consolidate their learning across all areas of psychology. In relation to research methods, I am particularly well qualified to support qualitative research.

I currently work as a neurodivergent coach with both children and adults, a role that requires a highly personalised and strengths-based approach. This experience strongly informs my tutoring style. I take time to listen carefully to my students’ needs, understand their goals, and tailor sessions accordingly. I often support students in recognising what they already know, identifying their strengths, and addressing challenges, while encouraging a positive growth mindset and building confidence in their learning.
