Information about Peter
I have just graduated from the Royal Academy of Music. My first study is the flute, and I am proficient also on the piano. I have interests in many subjects, and achieved high marks at school (in Australia) for all of my subjects, particularly English Literature, Music, French and Politics. I achieved an Australian Tertiary Administration Rank (ATAR) of 99.75. Since that time (2016), I have discovered an enthusiasm for tutoring, particularly in English and Music
Availability: Thursdays, Fridays, and weekends at most times, subject to a little change.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I regularly tutored beginner flute students at my school, both individually and in groups, as well as close friends and family members. Exposure to expert teaching at the Royal Academy of Music has also enhanced my ability to communicate ideas and new techniques effectively; these skills are not only applicable to flute playing. Since leaving school I also regularly tutored English and English literature, subjects that I have a deep interest in and enthusiasm for. I strive to help my students to believe that what they might be struggling with is in fact very possible and that it can become easy with dedicated practice time and determination! Having learnt from my past experiences as a flute student, school student and undergraduate, I do my absolute best to facilitate improvement based on concerted focus on particular areas, which I believe it is important to keep as simple as possible. My close connection with school life has ensured that I haven`t forgotten the difficulties that arise at school, particularly keeping up with the content of so many different courses, whilst all the while juggling co-curricular activities such as sport, music and social events.
