I am a professional Concert and Film Composer from Portugal, currently based in London. I teach the following disciplines:

I have an Undergraduate Degree from the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (Lisbon School for Higher Education in Music), having studied with some of the biggest names in Portuguese composition (such as Luís Tinoco, António Pinho Vargas and Sérgio Azevedo), and a Masters Degree with Merit from the University of West London in Composition for Film and Television, having studied with Francis Pott, Simone Spagnolo and Jan Willem de With.

I see education in the arts, and music in particular, as paramount for the individual`s development. I offer my students enthusiasm and dedication in equal measures so that they can achieve whatever musical goal they aspire to. My aim in teaching is to equip students with the skills and tools they`ll need to become successful performers, composers or educators. As each student is unique, a study plan is made in accordance to the individual`s needs and aspirations. Wether you or your child wants to become a professional musician, or you`re looking to pick up a new hobby, and everything in between, I`ll design a tailored study plan that fits your needs, and helps you achieve your goals.

As a performer, I`ve been very fortunate to have sung with some of the biggest names in Portuguese music (such as Rui Veloso and Rodrigo Leão), and to have been conducted by maestro Gustavo Dudamel (current principal conductor of the LA Philarmonic) upon his visit to Lisbon, and as a composer, my music has been played by the Mifune Trio, Nova Era Vocal Ensemble, and I was recently commissioned an orchestral piece for the Orquestra do Algarve (Orchestra of the Algarve).

I have also been a guest speaker at the London College of Music Rhythm Symposium, where I delivered a presentation on the connection between musical time and narrative time, in film.
