I’m a fully qualified teacher with many years classroom experience and a proven track record of helping tutees meet or exceed their target grades. I specialise in English, Philosophy and Religion and therefore only offer tutoring in these subject areas to ensure that my students receive confident and correct support only from my subject specialisms.
I have a first class honours degree and have marked for OCR and Edexcel, therefore I understand what is required for students to achieve the highest of marks.
I offer tuition in English from KS2-5 (SATS, GCSE and A-level) and Religion and Philosophy from KS3-KS5 (GCSE, A-level and Cambridge Pre-U). I am also able to offer a Philosophy and Critical Thinking course for home educated students which is non-assessed and I would be happy to deliver this to a small group or one-to-one.

Working with my tutees, I aim to quickly assess their current levels and individual areas for improvement in order that I can tailor the sessions around the skills and/or content that they need to cover to succeed in the exam.

I use a variety of techniques to help support and develop my students` knowledge and exam skills and I will work with you to identify your needs and help you to secure your target grades, through modelling, practicing exam questions, providing detailed feedback or simply attempting to reinforce the learning from lessons and to date, all students I`ve tutored in GCSE English have achieved a grade 4 (C) or above. I have also worked as an examiner for the exam board so have clear understanding of what students need to achieve highly.
