Experience: I have been teaching for over 12 years, have a Bachelors in Science in Genetics Zoology & Chemistry, an MA in English Literature, my PGCE and QTS. I have taught in both KS1 and Lower KS2. I have in reception for 2 years and have gained good knowledge of EYFS framework and practices. Throughout my career I have a broad range of experience which include: Reception, Year 1, 2 & 3 and their performance is of a high standard and reporting to management.
I am passionate about helping my pupils develop their talents and realise their potential. I have a great deal of classroom experience and am conversant with current educational thinking and good practice. I am committed to the safeguarding of children and the promotion of their welfare, considering at all times what is in their best interests.
I plan my lessons based on the tenets of quality first teaching, to meet the needs of all pupils. Through differentiation of tasks and the use of ICT tools like I Pads, computers, bee bots, recorders etc my lessons are enjoyable and effective. I have attended safeguarding insets which helped in my professional development. I have a great deal of classroom experience and I am conversant with current educational thinking and good practice, including current policies such as the very important issue of Safe- Guarding.. I have good experience and understanding of Math Mastery, Read Write Inc, CLPE’s Power of Reading, Essential letters and sounds and the White Rose Hub scheme of work. I make sure my plans cater to the needs of children with English as an additional language as well as those with special educational needs.
