Bonjour ! I am a French native teacher with QTS, currently teaching from reception to Year 6 in a primary school. I trained in secondary school and have experience supporting GCSE students for their exams. I also run French clubs for children and have run clubs for adults when I first moved to England.

I believe that anyone can learn a second language. The benefits of learning a foreign language are limitless! Among these benefits, you will develop your confidence, create more connections, improve your travelling experience and open your mind to a new culture!

I am a very creative and approachable teacher. I always ensure that cultural capital is at the centre of my lessons. I have created a few units of work with audio files, videos and photos of real French speaking people with different accents. These units include a scaffolded approach and encompass the 4 skills used when learning a new language (listening, reading, speaking and writing). When starting a unit, I always start with the two first skills which are known as ‘receptive’ and gradually move on to the other two known as ‘productive’ skills. Keeping up to date with the latest research and CPDs available is very important to me in order to always improve my teaching. I have very high expectations of my students and ensure that learning happens in a calm and fun environment with lots of opportunities to practise.
