Experience: I have enjoyed teaching English at secondary level for over 35 years. In September 2019 I semi-retired.
I am fully up to date with the exam assessment criteria and, having worked as an exam marker, I know exactly what the exam boards look for.
Over the past few years I have also worked as a private tutor (one to one) with students from Years 5 to 9, successfully helping them to consolidate any aspects of English they need (including English and Verbal Reasoning for the 11+ exam). I have had success as a tutor with a number of students at GCSE (AQA board English Language and English Literature) and A level (AQA English Literature).
I tailor tuition to the individual student`s needs and by working with them one to one I am able to help them realise their potential.
