I am a Chemical Engineering student at Heriot-Watt University. I am a confident, friendly, reassuring tutor. I have experienced every level of the education system, which gives me another dimension for helping pupils to understand and get the best out of their learning.
My degree discipline requires top knowledge of maths and science, and these are my favourite subjects to teach.
In the past year I have enjoyed teaching nine students and seeing improvement in all of them. In particular I helped four achieve success in their National 5 Maths exam (min grade was B).

Experience: I have lots of experience tutoring children of primary school age to the end of high school with ranging ability in maths and science. I have been tutoring for 4 years and since then I have developed a wide range experience. I have learnt lots of techniques to pass on to students to help them achieve. Recently, one of my students went from a U to a B in their final exam.

Emily has made fantastic progress with my daughter in such a short period of time. She has a lovely approach and manner and has worked well to build her confidence with Maths along the way. Great choice of tutor.

Emily is a very good tutor, she answers all the many questions that her student is asking in the Maths region of her tutoring, she also brings in other resources which are very helpful and is very friendly face.
