Information about Jane

100% SUCCESS RATE AT INTERVIEW

Over 170+ hours taught!!

My name is Jane and I am a 3rd year medic at Southampton.

I applied to study medicine as a graduate after having studied Bsc Biomedical Science. I graduated this in 2021 with a 1st Class Honours and applied to medical school in my final year - thus I know how to juggle a few things!

I studied for both UCAT and interviews by myself, achieving 2810 in my exam and around ~3100 in my practice exams. I am able to help and coach UCAT as well as go through practice questions and give tips and tricks. I can help you all with all sections of UCAT to build your confidence and smash the exam.

In my interviews I received interviews from HYMS and Uni of Southampton, to which I got offers from both. I passed both interviews with flying colours and was able to conduct this is confidence!

Re my personal statement, I was able to write my PS confidently, having a structured approach which I can help you all with and share with you.

I hope I can help you with your medicine applications to receive as many offers as you can with enthusiasm and confidence.

Teaching Style

Re UCAT, I have a bank of UCAT questions that we can go through together, I am able to deliver tutorials on tips and tricks for answering questions and reaching those top marks.

In terms of interview, I am able to conduct mock interviews where I will play the interviewer and you are the candidate, running through a live interview with feedback afterwards and how we can improve. I did this often with others and was a real confidence booster. I can give you the correct tips and tricks that interviewers want to secure a place!

I understand that interview is a really scary thing, and to that end i would love to share with you my tips and tricks to nail the interview, whether that was MMI or Panel (I did both), and will give you guided, honest feedback.

Regarding personal statements, I am happy to read over and annotate your PS to make it the best it can be. I had created a structured approach to edit my PS many times and add in all the important details - this is something I will happy to help with. I can look over your PS and add personal comments to what I think is good and what can be improved.
