Information about Moatasem
I`m Moatasem and I have recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Master`s degree in Theoretical Physics. I am currently working as a research assistant working on publishing my Master`s thesis.
I am very passionate about the mathematical sciences, as well as helping people reach their full potential within them. I have always loved sharing science with others and one of my favourite hobbies is discussing research papers with fellow colleagues and peers. This often results in one of us explaining difficult concepts to the others, which I find incredibly useful as I study for my degree, and think this has allowed me to improve my teaching skills, working out new and effective ways to explain the concepts and terms which I wish to convey to others. I am good at breaking down big chunks of difficult-to-understand information into smaller sections, using more basic language, making terms and concepts much easier to understand and comprehend.
I have enjoyed maths since I was young and have grown to find it even more interesting as I have studied physics, which is the application of maths. I love how logical the subject is and how it requires comprehensive problem-solving skills. On a deeper level, I am very passionate about trying to understand the universe as thoroughly as possible, and I think studying physics allows me to be at the forefront of the new and exciting ventures which allow us to learn more about the universe we live in. I am an enthusiastic scientist and am eager to help others develop their knowledge of and love for science.

Experience: At school, I studied Physics, Maths and Further Maths to A Level. Throughout my school career, I was given the opportunity to explain physics concepts to my peers every week.
I find it rewarding to help other people work through specific problems or problem areas in these subjects. I do this by, as I previously mentioned, breaking concepts down to make them easier to grasp.
I also have experience from my university course, including conferences in which I have had to give various presentations and create posters. These required me to discuss research papers I had written and explain the complex concepts within them at a more understandable and general level, so people from other research areas can understand.
