I am a fully qualified teacher with 23 years’ experience in a Primary School. I recently retired from teaching but wish to keep working with children in the field of education. I have a proven ability to engage with a range of pupils in raising attainment and supporting effective progress. I am available to help children (aged 7-11) in maths and English (reading, writing and spelling &grammar), in 11+ tutoring (verbal and non-verbal reasoning) and to help prepare them for Year 6 SATs or entrance exams. There will be a need to purchase workbooks if appropriate. I love teaching and you can be assured my aim is to ensure your child feels encouraged and successful, and to develop his or her academic confidence.
I can teach children in my home or travel to the pupil’s house, as you prefer.

Availability: I am available evenings, from 5.30pm and any time during the week in school holidays.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 25 years as a primary school teacher.
Experience in tutoring children successfully for 11+ and entrance exams.
