Leonel , described by Opera Magazine as a unmistakably Latin tenor graduated with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama Opera School and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama.
Through his Guildhall Artist Fellowship, Leonel was a guest teacher of singing at City University of London and a Learning Repertoire Coach at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Currently he teaches piano and singing at Chiswick School amongst many other private students that have successfully achieved high marks in ABRSM/Trinity exams.
Engagements include: Cavaradossi Tosca (Wimbledon Festival), Samson Samson et Dalila (Grimeborn Opera Festival), Don José Carmen (Mid Wales Opera, Deloite Ignite Festival at the Royal Opera House), Macduff, cover Macbeth (Scottish Opera), Il Duca Rigoletto (Devon Opera), Cavaradossi Tosca (Charles Court Opera/Musique Cordiale Festival in Provence), Lucio Otello (Buxton Festival Opera), Alfredo La Traviata (European Chamber Opera/Bangkok Grand Opera, Bermuda Festival/Regents Opera), Gherardo Gianni Schicchi (Opera Holland Park Christine Colllins Young Artists.
Leonel has been a regular at the Wexford Festival Opera, there he has sung Kozak Maria, Showman A Village Romeo and Juliet, Achille di Rosalba/Felice Il Cappello di Paglia di Firenze, Gastone La Traviata.
;;Oratorio highlights include: Royal Festival Hall debut as the tenor soloist in Mozart`s Requiem alongside the English Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia Chorus, Handel`s Messiah, José Maria Vitier`s Misa Cubana, Orff`s Carmina Burana, Charpentier`s Te Deum and Rossini`s Petite Messe Solennelle.

When I am not on stage I have a passion for teaching. This passion led me to teach in reputable colleges such as City University of London where I was a guest Singing Teacher and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where through my fellowship I worked as a Learning Repertoire Coach.

I offer flexible lesson times, suiting your job or school schedule. I will teach you from the comfort of your home anywhere in London or from a music studio if it is easier for you. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced in all different music genres.

I am fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and basic French.
Singing Lessons

I specialize in voice lessons and vocal technique training for singers, actors and professionals who use their voice for their work. All levels and ages are welcome.

I am an experienced opera singer. Scottish Opera, Opera Holland Park, Wexford Festival Opera, Grange Park Opera, Buxton Festival Opera, are some of the companies I have worked for in the past.

I offer lessons in classical music, opera, musical theatre, jazz, pop, rock, etc. Some of my students include beginners as well as professionals.

The lessons are tailor-made to suit each individual and their needs and goals.
Piano Lessons

Within my lessons I make a point of keeping piano lessons both engaging and fun. Classical, popular, jazz and musical theatre styles are explored, since each style enhances your child`s music education.

Learning to play the piano can be more than a hobby. When children learn how to focus their energy and attention to achieve musical goals, they acquire self-mastery that can be applied to all aspects of life.
