I have extensive experience as both a teacher and a tutor across all ranges and abilities, including students with learning difficulties such as: dyslexia; autism; ADHD and have supported students/parents with getting Exam Access Arrangements in place for students when I have identified a need.
What makes me a good choice as a tutor is my approach with my students; building a relationship with them and understanding them as a person, as well as the way that they work to help them to succeed.
My positive approach helps the students to believe in themselves and see that they can achieve the results that they desire, if they put the hard work in.
With each student that I tutor, I spend the first session getting to know them and completing a reading/writing task to understand their current ability and identify specific areas of improvement. This includes conversations with the parent/carer and student to understand what areas that they would specifically like support in. Each session is tailored based on these identified needs. Sessions will then be spent developing these skills or preparing for upcoming GCSE/A-Level examinations.
The sessions are completely adaptable if the student/parent would like to work on something different. I am always there to support and help where you feel it necessary.
Face to face or online sessions are available.
Face to face sessions are held at my home in Woodley.
Sessions are for individual students, however I am happy to do sessions with multiple students at a rate of £35 per student.
Bulk sessions available at a discounted rate:
5 sessions: 2.5% discount
10 sessions: 5% discount
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations, except for in unforeseen circumstances (at my discretion).

Abi is absolutely amazing. In a short period of time she has really helped my daughter confidence. Being dyslexic and autistic it can be hard to win my daughter over but she loves her sessions with Abi and feels they are really helping her with her GCSE English prep, Thank you Abi!

Abi is a warm and nurturing tutor. From the first session she identified a potential learning issue, she was sensitive at raising the issue. This was a great boost for my daughter who was losing her confidence at school. The help that Abi provided has made a difference to my daughter beyond English. I highly recommend Abi.
