I love teaching, but gave up being a secondary school maths teacher due to the non teaching components of the job. I went immediately into tutoring, and have kept up a solid number of tutoring hours and students a week from that time until I moved to Lincolnshire. I am now settled and building my tutoring base up again.

I enjoy tutoring across the range of subjects - 11+, Maths and English as it gives variety. Students have come for a number of reasons, from a lack of confidence, to specific issues/topics, to missed years of the syllabus. I love the characters of my students, and some have stayed with me for over 5 years (or left and returned between 11+ and GCSE).

I prefer to teach in my own home, as I find that being out of their home environment helps the student with their concentration, but this can be flexible. I have a dog and 2 cats, all friendly, but worth knowing in case of allergies!

Availability: Monday - 5pm - 9pm
Wednesday - 5pm - 9pm
Thursday - 6.30pm - 9pm
There is the potential to do weekend hours in special circumstances, or nearing exams

Experience: I am an ex teacher who has been tutoring for 8 years. I specialise in Maths (up to and including A level), English (up to and including GCSE) and the 11+ exams. I have full experience of teaching a full syllabus or exam preparation. I have a Maths degree (1st with honours) and a teaching degree.
