I have been teaching Mathematics at KS3, GCSE and A-Level Mathematics for 9 years at an Outstanding school.
I have a passion for teaching Maths which is shown from the excellent progress and results that my students achieve.
For the last 2 years, I have been the curriculum lead for KS3 for my school.
Availability: I am available between 4pm-7pm on weekdays during term-time, and 10am-1pm on Saturdays.
In school breaks, I am available from 9am-6pm weekdays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I teach a range of abilities from low level year 7 students, to all abilities of GCSE students (including Additional Maths and GCSE Statistics). I also teach A-Level Mathematics which include Core Maths, Statistics and Further Mathematics.
I have tutored for 9 years in the Surrey/Berkshire/Hampshire area.

Good subject knowledge but only went over son’s text book - nothing planned.
Tutors Response :
A plan was designed by the son and I to focus on the topics that he was unsure of. As the A Level course is very new with very few resources, the textbook is currently the best resource. In the sessions which we had, significant progress was made.

Our son is in Year 8 studying for his 13+ Common Entrance Level 3 paper whilst also practising scholarship papers for Wellington College. Mark has such a calm, approachable teaching style that our boy has gone from dreading Maths to enjoying it (like he used to). Extremely knowledgable - every session ends with my boy excited that an area in maths that has confused him now ‘makes complete sense’. Highly recommend. Wish I’d found him sooner!
