Information about Stephen
My tutor sessions are always busy and fun with lots of different learning styles catered for. I work with parents and children to create a programme that is individual to the needs of the learner.
I can cater for all types of learners from confident children who need challenging to learners who need some confidence building.
Availability: Monday from 5.15 pm onwards
Tuesday from 5.15 pm onwards
Wednesday from 5.15 pm onwards
Thursday from 5.15 pm to 7.30pm
Friday from 5.15 pm onwards
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been in Primary education for 25 years and have taught every age group. I was a Deputy Head for 16 years and was acting Headteacher on several occasions. I am an English specialist and have taught all primary levels . I have an excellent understanding ( through experience) of the skills and knowledge needed for SATs at both Year 2 and Year 6.
I have tutored a lot of children to get them ready for the 11 plus with good success.

Steve is simply the best and amazing. We are so grateful to have found him. Our daughter Magenta loves her lessons with him. She always finishes with a big smile on her face. She says he is funny and his lessons are so entertaining. He catches her attention and she is thriving in her work with him. He is helping her prepare for her 11 plus and we couldn`t have asked for a better tutor/teacher. He is helping her in every way. Thank you Steve!

Both myself and my son rate Steve very highly. He has been a wonderful choice for my sons tutoring. His thoughtful, mentoring approach is helping to rekindle a love of learning that had previously dwindled. Steve has shown to be an extremely professional and considerate tutor who has managed to re-engage my son and quickly assessed areas requiring additional support, all with a considered and personal approach.
