Hi!

I`m Rich, a qualified and currently practicing teacher of Geography, recognised as outstanding by my school. I am really passionate about my subject and having achieved BSc Geography and planning (Hons), PGDipED (QTS) and MEd teaching studies.

As a young and enthusiastic practitioner and head of department, I pride myself on being able to inspire and motivate tutees by promoting and nurturing a passion for Geography, demonstrating how engaging, enjoyable and relevant the subject can be.

I aim to tailor sessions to suit the needs of the tutee in order to enable them to reach their goals. A firm grounding in the subject, combined with an innovative and engaging tutoring style enable me to not only unlock the potential of students, but to really engage them in their studies.

I am able to forge positive relationships with tutees and parents in order to foster a nurturing ethos alongside academic rigour. As a result, tutees will not only make progress, but will develop confidence and lifelong skills that will serve them far beyond the qualification for which they are studying.

Experience: Educated at the University of Birmingham I have over 5 years experience working in the secondary and post 16 education sectors and have consistently been rated as an ‘outstanding’ practitioner during that time. I am currently working in a large school, rated ‘good’ by Ofsted (2015). I teach students of all abilities from the age of 11 to 18. I also have experience of teaching and supporting students attaining excellent results in GCSE Citizenship studies for the past 4 years.

I am a passionate and professional graduate who has undergone further challenges beyond my teacher training. In 2014 I completed my Med in teaching studies and graduated from the University of Birmingham. I am currently recognised as an `outstanding` practitioner by the school that I work for, and have a proven track record of exceptional GCSE and A-Level results.

Finally, as a currently practicing teacher at the forefront of the profession, I also have an excellent working knowledge of the new Geography specifications (due for first examination in Summer 2018) so can also offer tuition that meets the needs of the very latest specifications.
