I am Elena, an Italian and French teacher, as well as a Master student in International Management and Sustainability at SciencesPo, Paris. I have a very multicultural background, as I have lived in Italy, Brazil, France and the US. Understanding other people and cultures is my greatest passion, as I deem it incredibly eye-opening. I try to put myself in other people`s shoes as much as possible by extensively traveling, studying sociology and psychology, but, most of all, by talking to people of different nationalities. This is why languages have such a key role in my life and why I would love to provide other people with the same linguistic skills.
Availability: I am available mostly on Tuesdays (afternoon) and Thursdays. However, my schedule changes weekly so feel free to text me if you`d like to schedule a lesson on a day / time slot when I am not available and I will try to accommodate your request.

Experience: I have been a French and Italian private teacher and tutor for people of all ages for the past four years, both in Italy, France (also for refugees), Brazil and California. Since I was a kid, the language learning process always fascinated me. Furthermore, my sympathy towards refugees and immigrants` cause enhanced even more my passion for language teaching, the pillar of societal integration.
Thanks to the diversity of my students, I have become easily adaptable to my students` needs and interests. Furthermore, my advanced knowledge of five languages (Italian, French, English, Portuguese and Spanish) facilitates communication with my students and maximizes their learning potential.
I customize my lessons based on my students` needs. However, normally my methodology is the following: while making sure that my students` grammar is solid, my aim is to improve their conversational skills by simulating dialogues and daily interactions since the very first lessons. As my passions are quite extensive and can range from economics to psychology, from technology to philosophy, and so on, I look for subjects of discussion which interest both the student and I. I complement traditional material such as grammar books with songs, movies, articles and other alternative and interactive tools, depending on my students` specific interests, needs and level.
