I am a fully trained English Teacher and SEN Teacher (Dyslexia and Literacy specialist) with 15 years` experience working across Key Stages 1 to 5. I believe in an approach where the students become agents for change so that they can self-monitor, self-evaluate, question, persist, be creative, explore, make connections, review. I believe in open and shared learning goals, with clear success criteria where errors are welcomed and where lots of feedback is given regarding both the learning process and outcomes. Lessons should provide challenge but with a clear structure and strategies for achieving it. I would evaluate how a pupil learns best and use this to guide my teaching methods, forms of assessment and teaching materials.

I passionately believe in breaking down barriers to learning and instilling a love for learning which is life-long and viewed as relevant and valuable by the learner. I was awarded `Outstanding Contributor` by my school in both 2015 and 2016.

I am a patient, empathetic and dedicated teacher.

Availability: Week days and weekends, day and evening. Can do online.

Experience: I trained in 2005 and have worked as an English teacher in London school, starting off in a Secondary School and later working in both Primary and Secondary settings. I then trained as a Dyslexia Literacy teacher supporting pupils across all Key Stages` access to the National Curriculum and supporting their progress towards Entrance Exams and GCSEs.
