I am a qualified teacher working in a primary school. I have recently qualified as a SENCo and have previously taught in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. I am familiar with the challenges presented in Year 2 whilst also aware of the gaps that need to be filled to ensure for a smooth transition to secondary. I thoroughly enjoy working with children as I believe every child is unique. I endeavour to get to know children quickly and I then use this knowledge to tailor my teaching to ensure that their learning experience caters for their needs. I believe that children need to be engaged and challenged in order to achieve the best outcome possible.

I am currently working towards my NPQSL (qualification in Senior Leadership) whilst also beginning my journey as a school SENCo. I have previously led PSHE and Computing for the whole school, ensuring that children are developing their whole self through an enriching and challenging curriculum. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and even though my career is moving towards senior leadership, I want to continue working with children. I feel that pursuring tutoring in my free time would help me strike this balance.
