I am a Primary School teacher with over 8 years experience, specialising in ages 5-11.

I have taught across both Key Stage 1 and 2. I provide a calm, dedicated, child-centred approach, having guided children through the Key Stage 1 SATS, phonics screening assessment and the statutory Multiplication Tables Check (taken in Year 4).

I can offer tailored lessons in Maths, English, Reading and Phonics that will suit your child’s needs. I’m happy to chat about what this might look like and answer any questions you might have.

Experience: I have a BA degree in Primary Education, specialising in ages 5-11 with 9 years experience in schools across East and West Sussex.

In the my career I’ve taught across years 1-6, including several years in year 2 guiding children to great achievement in their SATS and year 1 children in their Phonics Screening.

In the classroom I have excelled in providing for children who have Special Educationals Needs. Working closely with a Speech and language team I have provided for children with a range of needs. This has enabled them to access reading, writing and maths materials. I have sat on an SEN team across the academy trust i’m a part of. Recently I headed up a project gaining the school a ‘dyslexia in practice’ award.

As a Primary teacher I have developed a wealth of knowledge of Maths, English and Reading across all years groups. In turn i’ve developed high expectations of learners and skills to manage and motivate. I have spent years creating fun and engaging resources to suit different learner styles. More recently, I have helped my school achieve good results in the national Multiplication Tables.
