Hello,

I am looking for a dedicated English tutor for my daughter, Sophia, who will be starting Year 5 this September.

Sophia is preparing for the 11+ entrance examinations for leading London independent schools. At this stage, however, our priority is not intensive exam practice, but building a strong foundation in English.

We are looking for a tutor who can help her develop:

• Vocabulary
• Reading comprehension and guided reading
• Grammar
• Spelling
• Creative writing and sentence structure
• Confidence in speaking and expressing her ideas

English is her second language, so we are looking for a patient, encouraging and well-structured tutor who enjoys working with children and can help her develop excellent English skills through regular reading, discussion and structured practice.

Sophia is hardworking, curious and enjoys learning. We are looking for a long-term tutor who can work alongside her existing studies and help her steadily build excellent English skills over the coming years.

Both online and in-person lessons are welcome. We live near Canning Town Underground Station.

We particularly welcome tutors with experience preparing pupils for the 11+ entrance examinations at leading London independent schools, especially City of London School for Girls, North London Collegiate School and St Paul`s Girls` School.

Availability: Our availability is flexible, and we are happy to discuss a suitable schedule with the right tutor. During term time, weekday evenings and weekends are generally preferred. During school holidays, daytime lessons are also possible.

Willing to travel: 50 miles
