In 2022, on average, each student at GCSE attained over one grade higher than their expected target grade and I attained the most Grade 9s in the entire-school. This reflects my year-on-year track record of outstanding student success. A-Level students also continue to surpass expectations, with many securing very strong grades and going to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. My resources have sold over 400,000 throughout the world to help other students attain similar achievements.

I consider myself highly successful in guiding young people to achieve and surpass their potential by cultivating a growth mindset in conjunction with providing perpetual challenge, so that the intellectual advancement and personal development of each and every individual is progressively nurtured. I have a strong sense of commitment to ensure outstanding student success and although academic attainment must be at the forefront of every scholarly journey, a holistic educational experience is one to be cherished.

Availability: I am happy to travel and can be flexible with regards to the time required by tutees although, owing to my high-demand, would need to be arranged in advance.

Experience: I am currently a Deputy Head Teacher at a large, comprehensive school in outer London. I directly regularly attain outcomes that far exceed the national expected levels of progress at GCSE and A-Level. Previously my responsibility was as an Assistant Head Teacher.

I have also been a Curriculum Leader for Humanities, Head of History, Head of Year 9 and Head of Year 10 as well as a classroom teacher of primarily History at KS3, KS4, and KS5 but also Geography, Religious Studies, Government and Politics and Sociology. As a result, I have a plethora of knowledge in reference to the Humanities and Social Sciences although my area of expertise is History.

Within all of my taught subjects and during my tenure at three different educational establishments that were very different contexts, my classes have always attained very strong results and account for some of the best in the schools where I taught. Consequently, I am recognised as an “outstanding” teacher and my GCSE and A-Level results indicate that I have a proven, consistent track record of exceptional student success.

In addition, I mark GCSE/A-Level History scri pts for the examination boards and regular work directly with the AQA, OCR and Edexcel GCSE/A-Level History examination boards to maintain and outstanding working knowledge of the requirements for each formal examinations. As a consequence, I produce lessons, textbooks, revision resources and activities for teachers throughout the world and work directly with external companies and students to lead CPD on the specific demands of each GCSE/A-Level History specification.

Finally, my wealth of experience has been refined and developed with my extensive academic background. I have an MA, PGCE and BA (Hons) within my subject area and this has been underpinned with my professional development both in private industry and the state sector.

My summer 2022 GCSE and A-Level History results were, once again, were very strong. At GCSE, my class attained, on average, one grade more than their expected target grade and a number of students at A-Level got As and Bs.

In a recent summer examination series, one of my students is going to study History at the University of Oxford. I am more than happy to support with Oxbridge applications and have the experience and track-record of securing places at Russell Group Universities.
