Information about Julia
I am a qualified primary school teacher who has been teaching in the private sector for 16 years. Most recently I was Deputy Head at Headington School in Oxford and previously Director of Studies at The Perse School in Cambridge and Head of English at the Prep school for Oundle.
I have extensive experience of preparing children for 11 plus and private school entrance exams as well as SATs and have also worked with children with specific educational needs such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and on the autistic spectrum. I have a degree in drama from The Central School of Speech and Drama so can also offer individual Speech and Drama lessons. I am a creative teacher who also helps to boost a childs confidence and ensures all my teaching is engaging and fun.
Im available to teach children aged 7-11 in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning and Drama.
Im currently at home caring for my son who is a year old and he will be here with my partner (a history teacher at King Edwards) during lessons. My partner is also fully safeguarding checked.
Availability: Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 4.30pm.
School holidays.
I am based in central Louth, right next to King Edwards School.
