Information about Fritha
I am an enthusiastic and qualified primary teacher with an excellent progression record. Tutoring online is my full time job and I take great pride in my students` accomplishments.
My teaching philosophy was heavily influenced by Carl Rogers, Maslow and Jerome Bruner.
I thoroughly believe that all pupils can grow their intelligence and enjoy coming to school, as long as they have a passionate teacher who is keen for them to progress.
My core values are respect, challenge, kindness, wisdom, and truthfulness.
Respect: Every teacher and student is a living person with their own thoughts, feelings, past and dreams. I am the type of teacher who wants to share your dreams and help you reflect on your steps. The biggest step is admitting that there is somewhere that needs improvement and I highly respect anyone who admits to their mistakes and wants to learn from them.
Challenge: Not everyone has the same learning style. SEN (Special Educational Needs), EAL (English as an Additional Language) and undiagnosed students will have their own physical and mental obstacles, but it is essential to never give up on them, and the student must not give up on themselves. There are visual and active learners, and I have worked with many. Whether you are planning your own lesson or trying to find your own learning style, I can help you overcome these challenges.
Kindness: My goal is to help you progress, but I believe we need to establish a professional relationship to get to know you.
Wisdom: A little trip does not mean that you have fallen. I believe that if we look back at the previous steps taken, we can progress and learn.
Truthfulness: If you are doing well, I will tell you. If you are falling behind, I will also tell you. I understand that life is not easy, but if one is prepared to accept the positive, one must also accept the negative. It`s what you do with yourself and that information that will improve you.
Availability: I am flexible with time and even available for home-schooling online. Message me for more details.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been tutoring and proofreading for over 8 years, and I started when I was a Freshman at King`s College London. Since then, I graduated with a BA in Classical Studies, specialising in Ancient Greek mythology, literature and architecture.
At St. Mary`s University Twickenham, I have accomplished the Primary PGCE with QTS course. Whilst doing the PGCE, I also completed the Catholic Certificate of Religious Studies (CCRS). All of my grades are 2:1 and above.
In the last five years, I have achieved over thirty CPDs. This involved teamwork, reflection, adaptability and well-being.
I have worked in two of the finest schools in West London. One was rated as `outstanding` by Ofsted and the other was rated as `exceptional` by the Independent Schools` Inspectorate under an Integrated Inspection.
I am adapted to teaching SEN (Special Educational Needs) pupils.
