Information about Phoebe
My name is Phoebe. I`m a UK-based scientist, with a strong understanding of biology and chemistry.
I am available for biology and chemistry tuition from 11+ up to undergraduate level.
I have been a tutor for 10 years and typically help students to prepare for exams by going through course material and setting realistic deadlines and mock exams.
I hold a DPhil (PhD) from University College London in Biomaterials Engineering, a Masters from University College London in Biomaterials & Tissue Engineering, and an undergraduate degree in Nanotechnology from the University of Leeds.
Availability: I am available for lessons of an hour or more, after 5.30 pm on weekdays. I am also available at weekends on an ad-hoc basis, for longer sessions.

Experience: During my PhD studies I was a Senior Postgraduate Teaching Assistant on UCL`s award-winning Integrated Engineering Programme and am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I am well-equipped to help students overcome difficulties in problem areas, and has tutored Maths, English and reasoning for eleven plus exams, as well as assisting students with GCSE and A-Level preparation for the sciences.
In addition to private tuition, I am also a member of STEMNet, and is involved with science outreach activities in education in schools.

It`s early days and my daughter has only had a few sessions with Phoebe for A Level Chemistry so far. We`ve found Phoebe to be reliable and flexible, always well prepared for the tutorials with past papers etc and my daughter is already feeling more confident about this summer`s exam..
