I am a fully qualified science teacher with experience in many educational settings which include:
- Home-schooled students
- SEND students
- Low ability students and those lacking confidence
- Gifted and talented
- Adult learners
- Students outside the mainstream education setting
I offer tuition in all three sciences at KS3 and KS4. I also offer A-Level tuition in both chemistry and Biology. I also tutor maths at KS3 level.
I provide a fun, friendly and positive approach to teaching in order to inspire students to get the best out of the sessions, increase their confidence and hit their specific targets. I strive to accommodate learners with various special educational needs but also those who have little or no previous educational background.
I will look specifically at what you want to achieve and find innovative ways of teaching in order to get you there - especially if you have fallen behind for any reason.
If face to face proves difficult at any point then I have a number of successful approaches using whiteboard notes and questions via the webcam through online platforms which students have found invaluable in the past.
Availability: If I am free, my slots are mainly daytime on the days below:
Tuesday school time - 9am to 3pm
Friday school time - 9am to 3pm
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: One-to-one tutoring since 2015 at KS3, KS4 and KS5 both face to face and through online platforms.
Experience of working with students with learning difficulties from mild to severe, multiple and complex both in special needs schools and as a one-to-one tutor.
Over 30 years teaching both children and adults to sing and read music.

Stephanie is a great tutor. Really takes time to understand the students needs and has numerous methods for her teaching, ensuring that her students learn in the best way possible for them individually. Only a few sessions in and already seeing an improved confidence in my daughter.

Stephanie has been a very enthusiastic and encouraging tutor for my daughter and has picked up on gaps in her knowledge at the end of year 10. They seem to cover a lot in the sessions, and they are very interactive so Stephanie can tell if my daughter is understanding the work. Since we are in summer holiday time we have made a schedule to suit everyone. My daughter is certainly understanding Physics better and I think she`s now enjoying it a bit more as it wasn`t her favourite subject! I`m very happy.

Stephanie is a very well organised tutor, always comes with lessons prepared. She is extremely knowledgeable but able to deliver it in a very understandable way. Able to develop a good rapport quickly. She has provided my daughter with lots of confidence in her ability and techniques for her upcoming mock exams. Stephanie also goes the extra mile, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
