Dear parents/carers,

I am a Year 1 teacher. I have lots of experience of getting children reading and writing.

I am a maths mastery specialist, meaning that when I teach maths I focus on depth and understanding of mathematical concepts, before going on to teach procedures to find an answer. This style of teaching really puts in secure foundations for children on which to build on as the curriculum develops.

All children develop at different rates and sometimes, a child might need a bit of specialist support to keep up with the pace of learning in school. I have seen first hand the impact a good tutor can have in developing a child’s skills, attitude to learning, attention and listening and their self confidence.

I am familiar with the National curriculum and have access to lots of resources. This helps me to deliver helpful and fun sessions for the children that I tutor.
