Information about Raphael
Hello! My name is Raphael and I`m an experienced Science Tutor Currently working in Solar Panel research. I graduated with a First Class BSc in Chemistry in 2020 and I know how daunting passing exams and getting to grips with the rules (and more often, the exceptions) of science can be. However, I believe in the right environment learning science can be rewarding, engaging and accessible to everyone - whatever personal goals you might have.
My approach to tutoring is to break things down to the most fundamental aspects, drawing from tangible examples and using our mind`s incredible ability for visualising. I typically work exclusively from whatever syllabus you fall under (eg AQA and OCR) to try to give you a solid ability to tackle exam questions while also connecting dots sometimes missed in formal teaching to bring things together. I really enjoy teaching students who ask questions and I try to create an environment where learning happens through conversation and practice rather than lecturing.
I have experience teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics at GCSE-Level and Chemistry at A-Level. I`m available for house visits, online teaching or hosting lessons in my home evenings and weekends. If you feel like you could benefit from my tutoring please get in touch!
