Information about Martha

I am a Neuroscience graduate from the University of Bristol. As a lover of all things science, I have a keen interest in helping students find tools to enhance their learning experience and easier understand core concepts in order to both flourish and find enjoyment in their scientific learning, encouraging them to reach beyond the curriculum and stay curious.

I have experience in mentoring and planning, leading and assisting various study sessions and workshops across a range of ages and disciplines.

In regards to my teaching methodology, Instead of simply feeding information, I like to act as a guide helping assist the individual utilize their own ideas and knowledge and together construct answers. This elucidates a more thorough understanding of concepts and deeper integration of information into long-term memory stores. I like to begin sessions with revision activities from previous sessions to re-enforce the learning. However, exact teaching methodology is entirely dependent on the individual needs and learning styles of the student so teaching will be catered to a style that most optimally suits, and is enjoyed by, the individual.
