Information about Keith
I am the Head of Physics at a large school in the North West which also has a sixth form. I have taught for over 20 years in 3 countries and I have been tutoring for most of these years. My degree is in Chemistry but with the national shortage of Physics Teachers, I retrained and now am qualified to teach both to GCSE and A level. I have relaxed and completely non-threatening manner which completely puts students at their ease. I am willing to come to your home or can teach in a dedicated and quiet room in my own house if preferred. My current preferred method of tutoring is online via SKYPE (or similar) - see availability below.

Availability: Evenings after 4.30.
I am based in Wigan but can pass through towns such as Chorley or Blackrod on my way home form work in Darwen.
Due to increased fuel prices, I have had to increase my prices for all home visits to £40 per hour.
I will tutor online via SKYPE or other platform for a flat rate of £30 per hour.
My preferred option now is to tutor online via SKYPE or similar. It saves fuel and time and allows me to accommodate more tutees when there is a high demand. It is highly effective as well, allowing tasks to be shared as well as diagrams and videos. Also, it means that there is not a stranger in your home for an hour.

Experience: I have taught all sciences to GCSE and Physics and Chemistry to AS and A2 for over 20 years. I have also taught Maths to GCSE.
I have taught, marked and moderated BTEC assignments and I am currently mark GCSE, A Level and BTEC (Levels 2 and 3) examinations in Physics and Chemistry.

Keith provided clear and comprehensive tuition which gave my year 13 son confidence and a much better understanding of A level Chemistry. My son went on to achieve a grade ‘B’ in his final exam this summer and the help and guidance received from Keith most certainly played a part in this. Would highly recommend Keith..thank you

My son has had Keith for a number of A`level physics tutor sessions and his grades are starting to improve. Keith takes the time to work on problem areas and explains the concepts in an easy to understand and friendly manner. Keith has been absolutley fantastic, my son saying "he makes things a lot easier and clearer". He is very accomodating, affable and has been a pleasure to deal with. My son hasn`t finished his exams yet and so I am not able to give you results. I have no doubt however that Keith will have enhanced what Sam could have done naturally and I would have no hesitation in recommending Keith.

My son initially wasn`t keen on the idea of a tutor but soon settled down and found Keith friendly and approachable. He got his maths grade up from a probable c to a b so we`re very happy. He also tutored science when asked. No problems recommending him.

Keith is a tutor who can give you knowledge, support, confidence and laughs along the way!
My daughter was really `down` before her GCSE Physics exam and yet she came out of the exam with a big smile on her face saying I can`t wait to tell Keith that I did it, I knew the answers!
What a difference to the girl of 6 weeks ago upset and stressed because she didn`t get it.
Definitely recommended, 5 stars!

I got excellent feedback from Martin tonight. He was really pleased at how it went. Going through three or four questions slowly he said he actually understood them after.
