I teach business English to non-native speakers, and I offer advanced music theory lessons to undergraduates and adult learners. I offer one-to-one and group lessons in person and via Skype/Zoom.

I teach on a one-to-one basis on weeknights and weekends. I teach in person, not online. During a student’s first lesson, I assess their needs and determine their level in order to select a syllabus that’s both appropriate and challenging; I prepare a plan for each subsequent lesson in line with the syllabus and the student`s learning goals.

I encourage my students to take the lead, to think for themselves, and to challenge me.

Experience: I have taught English and music theory privately in my spare time for 5+ years. I have experience preparing students for the:

– Business English Certificates suite of exams (preliminary, vantage and higher)
- EuroexamPro (B1, B2 and C1)
– Trinity College Theory of Music exams (grades 1 - 8)

Qualifications:

– Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
– First class Bachelor of Arts (hons) degree in music
– Master of Music degree in musicology
- 9+ years of ongoing experience in the financial services industry at a leading, full-service investment bank
