I have set up the Facebook page I.Creative to offer my services to friends and associates who need support with Education, CV/Cover letters and Dissertations.
After 12 years in education as a Lead English Teacher, Advanced Skills Teacher (awarded in 2009) Former Head of the English/Media faculty and Teacher Training Professional Mentor/University Lecturer, I am now pursuing a different career path which creates a shift from education.
I am currently looking at ways to use my skills and background in English to support others, offering a bespoke, personalised service that can enhance three different areas: Learning, Assessment and Career Opportunities. These can be fulfilled in different ways - from private tutoring (Primary to Further Education) including Literacy, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 English Language, Literature and Media Studies - to University modular essays, investigations and dissertations - and finally, Curriculum Vitae and Cover Letters for career changes or job applications.
Creativity is at the centre of the service as I find that people learn, develop and progress when stimulated. I have also found that different creative approaches can make you stand out and define you more. I have changed and adapted my CV and cover letter template over twenty times this year to match different employment expectations and environments, finding that the more creative I was, the more interest I would obtain. I would now like to support others in this process to achieve their next steps in learning and in life.
I can offer you one-to-one support proof-reading, editing and writing copy and can work on an hourly fee of £30 per session or £50 for a two hour bundle of coaching, whether this is face to face, over the phone, via Skype or email.
My degree was centred on writing and Literature and my dissertation consisted of writing a 22,000 word novella and poetry anthology creative writing is my forte and strength and I am embarking on a novel currently aiming to write 300 words a day - as advised by Stephen King in `On Writing`.

I have also lectured in universities and have copious amounts of experience training adult learners too. This last year I have been delivering national conferences for Keynote Educational, addressing audiences exceeding 300 and was contracted as a freelance Public Relations Advisor and Consultant to the MD of a successful and renowned PR company. I am now retraining and pursuing a career change. I have recently applied for a full (enhanced) DBS certificate/check and can bring this to our first meeting as soon as it arrives.
