Teachers are ubiquitous within my family. My mother and her brother are teachers, my grandma was a teacher and my twin sister has recently completed her PGCE. It was therefore unsurprising that last year, when looking for a job after graduating from Newcastle University, I started working at Port Regis School. There I undertook a role as a sports coach and delivered lessons across a variety of different age groups. After working at the school for almost a year it was clear to me why teaching makes up so much of my family’s identity. While clearly teaching comes with its challenges, these challenges pale into insignificance when compared with the rewards, particularly regarding the relationships I formed with students. Watching them progress and knowing that to a large extent this progression was contingent on my hard work was a very gratifying experience. As a result, it became inevitable that when I decided to move to London to undertake my postgraduate degree, I would look to supplement this by applying for a tutoring role.

Availability: I am available on Wednesday`s and Friday`s. Tuesday`s on alternate weeks and the remaining days only in the evenings.

Experience: Working at a prep-school for almost a year coaching sports across a variety of different age groups.
