Experience: 37 years in private, comprehensive, grammar and international schools in 5 countries, including WELLINGTON COLLEGE AND 5 TOP PUBLIC SCHOOLS ACROSS S. ENGLAND. Some of my many achievements include doubling the uptake for GCSE chemistry in one school whilst also increasing the numbers taking A level to a number not seen before at the school. Making Science relevant and fun in a way children will remember, not just to get the best grades but to help them throughout their lives. My forte is explaining the difficult concepts in the most difficult subjects and bringing the subject to life through my knowledge of science in a global context. I have looked into a steaming volcanic crater to see sulphur deposits, climbed mountains around the world, taken students to a plastic factory to see polythene being made, lived near CERN and worked with scientists from the Large Hadron Collider.
