Kate

I am the Head of Psychology a Girl’s Independent School. I have 8 years experience teaching A Level Psychology in London since qualifying with a PGCE in 14-19 psychology teaching. I have a BSC in Psychology from Cardiff University. I live in Vauxhall and teach in Putney and am happy to travel in an easy commute from both home or work. I am also happy to tutor for either 1 or 2 hour sessions. I also have experience teaching remotely and would be very willing to offer online lessons.

Availability: I can be available after 5pm Monday - Thursday (unless work commitments such as parents evenings require late working at my school). If need be I can work weekends but due to family commitments I cannot commit to this being consistent. Obviously I am more flexible with timings if the lessons are virtual.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have taught A Level Psychology for 9 years and the AQA specification for the past 7 years. I have taught all areas of the course but my particular strengths include Memory, Social Influence and Psychopathology from Paper 1, Approaches and Biopsychology from Paper 2 and Aggression, Gender, Schizophrenia and Issues and Debates from Paper 3. I specialise in helping mid-high ability students towards those top grades and helping those excited about studying Psychology to get the grades to embark on a Psychology (or related) degree. I also specialise in essay writing and evaluative skills. I am also able to help with interview preparations for Oxbridge Psychology courses.
