Hello,
I am Mathumai. I am currently working as a Graduate Civil Engineer after graduating from UCL with 1st class honors in Civil Engineering.
I am deeply passionate about teaching Maths and Science. I have over 500 hours of tutoring experience. My teaching method involves the following key stages:
• Assessing the current level of understanding of each subject through a test or discussion with the student
• Setting out a plan to follow for the rest of the academic year. This includes topics to be covered each week, tests to check the progress regularly (one every two weeks).
• Tailor each lesson to suit the needs of the student: a well-planned lesson in advance to make full use of the lesson time.
• During the final test period I focus on the areas the student needs to work on and do more practice questions to make the student more familiar with the test question and answering format.
I have been tutoring since 2012. I currently teach students of different key stages from KS2-4, starting from Year 7-9, GCSE and A-Levels. Previously, I have also taught students to prepare for their 11+ exams for grammar and Private schools such as Haberdashers` Aske`s School for Girls and Watford Grammar School for Girls.
Having a clear knowledge about these subjects has provided me with the ability to tackle complicated exam questions successfully. Hence I was able to gain A*, A* A, A in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in my Alevels. Hence I teach my students not just the content of subjects but also the applications of each subject to provide a better understanding.
I believe constant learning is crucial for the continuous development of each student. With hardworking and the right help, I believe any student can get the grades they aim for.

Availability: I teach on Monday - Friday after 6 pm and 8 am-8p m on weekends
