Information about Heather

I am a qualified primary school teacher and have had experience teaching both key stage 1 and 2. I also have had experience working with pupils who have special needs, such as behavioural difficulties and delayed learning, or English as another language. I have gained some experience teaching English as another language to adults at beginner and intermediate level in the past 3 years.

I thoroughly enjoy working with children and adults and helping them to build up their confidence no matter what their ability is!

Availability: Most weekdays including evenings.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: My experience within special needs teaching has included teaching children with dyspraxia, Down`s syndrome, mild autism, dyscalculia, anger management training and speech and language difficulties.

I also have experience teaching conversational English in a community setting, along with teaching English grammar, writing, reading and speaking to adults both in small groups and one to one.

My daughter loves Heather. She makes session interesting and you can tell she has experience. She also gives feedback which helps me. So glad to have found such a likeable tutor for my daughter.
