Information about Carlotta
Hello, I am Carlotta, a UK-based Italian artist and experienced Art tutor.
I graduated with First-Class Honours in Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art. Before that, I completed a Foundation Diploma at Brighton City College and took part in an exchange programme at the New York Studio School. Alongside my art practice at UCL, I also studied philosophy and aesthetics, which continues to shape both my creative work and teaching approach.
Alongside teaching, I have been part of Londons artistic community for over 12 years as a practising artist. I have exhibited internationally, directed short films, and participated in collaborative performance projects. I have also assisted artists in leading London studios, which has given me valuable insight into sustaining a long term creative practice.
I care deeply about helping students develop confidence in their ideas, strengthen their creative voice, and build a thoughtful, sustainable relationship to their practice. I particularly enjoy working with interdisciplinary approaches, and supporting students in discovering new ways of thinking through art.
Outside of teaching and studio work, I love dance, cinema, and discovering new exhibitions around London. I look forward to meeting you!

Experience: Ive been tutoring and mentoring over 7 years, working independently, in schools, and through agencies with students across a wide range of ages and experience levels. Ive supported students in Fine Art, Animation, Architecture, Fashion, Film, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design, Photography, Sculpture, and Game Design, as well as with art writing and French and Italian language support.
Ive helped students gain places at prestigious institutions including University of the Arts London, Goldsmiths, University of London, University College London, Parsons School of Design, New York University, Rhode Island School of Design, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Savannah College of Art and Design, with many progressing directly onto BA and BFA courses without completing a foundation year.
I work with GCSE, A-level, IB, Foundation, and BA students, as well as adults returning to creative practice or exploring a new direction. My support includes portfolio development, scholarship applications, interview preparation, artist statements, essays, dissertations, and creative projects.
My teaching is empathetic, direct, practical, and tailored. Sessions focus on achieving real progress, whether thats improving technical ability, refining a portfolio, or helping you develop a clearer artistic direction. I break things down into achievable steps so you can see real momentum in your work.
