I am a fully qualified History teacher to students aged 11-18 with experience working at schools around the world, providing me with an invaluable insight into all aspects of the education system.
I have extensive experience in online History teaching. I have taught students preparing for various exam boards, including Cambridge Assessment International Education (IGCSEs), Pearson Edexcel (International GCSEs and GCSEs), Cambridge International Examinations (A-/AS-levels), Pearson Edexcel (A-/AS-levels), and Oxford International AQA Examinations (International GCSEs and AS/A-levels). My experience also extends to supporting students with school entrance examinations.
While online teaching, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the nuances of different exam boards and their respective syllabi. This has allowed me to tailor my teaching methods to meet the specific requirements of each board, ensuring that my students are well-prepared for their examinations. Experience: Outside of Teaching History I`ve been a fitness and rowing coach. I believe that physical activity is an important part of overall well-being. I have coached teams of all ages, training them to great success at international competitions, with some later in life competing at the Olympic Games. This has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me.
I am also passionate about pushing myself both mentally and physically. In 2022 I cycled over 4000km across the USA to raise money for a local charity!

We have found Charlie to be excellent value for money. My daughter has had tuition for several months now. He has approached teaching with high levels of energy and commitment. Lessons have been balanced in terms of teaching information and facilitating, consolidating and sharing knowledge. Charlie has always been positive and encouraging throughout. My daughter is able to approach her exams with better knowledge, understanding and increased confidence. We are very keen to keep Charlie and have already secured his time to work with my son!

My daughter had issues re contents and understanding some of her History topics. Charlie has been an invaluable asset in my daughter`s GCSE History journey. With a deep understanding of the subject matter, he has helped her to navigate a number of topics, tailoring his teaching to her needs. Charlie’s supportive approach has boosted her confidence, with each session being engaging and impactful. Really understanding and listens to what you particularly struggle with and in what areas you would want to improve and tries his best to incorporate it in the lessons. His lessons are fun and informative !
