I am a fully qualified teacher of science whose specialism is in Chemistry. I have mentored both children and adults from my days in 6th form in 2015 to my time at Staffordshire University where I mentored mathematics up till 2020. Also, during my third year at university, I mentored forensic science to first-year students. After this, I became a Science Tutor within a school based in Worcestershire, in addition to being a swimming instructor before training to become a qualified teacher.

I am fully resourced for the current AQA Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSE specifications and have experience teaching OCR and iGCSE. I can teach online and in person. Throughout lessons, I will spend time going through worksheets and past paper questions to assess pupil understanding. I then aim to secure their knowledge and understanding by studying questions and mark schemes to improve their ability to answer exam questions.

I feel that the varied experience in tutoring different subjects throughout 6th form, university, and a secondary school in Worcestershire before training to teach has been of great benefit to me as a science teacher. I have been able to explain mathematics in different ways to pupils and being able to relate science to the real world (e.g. forensic science) has proved to be essential in stimulating the interest of my students.
