Information about Nur
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 10 years of experience. I have a huge passion for teaching and find it most rewarding to see children progress and excel under my guidance.
I offer tuition in the following areas:
- English (KS1, KS2 & 11+)
- Maths (KS1, KS2 & 11+)
- Year 6 SATs
- 11+ Exams (Verbal and non-verbal Reasoning)
Covering CEM, GL, CSSE and ISEB
I teach across all the exam boards and have a huge library of resources to support all levels.
Every child deserves an opportunity to reach their maximum potential. In addition to focusing on a child`s academic progress, I always look for opportunities to boost their confidence and self-esteem - as these are crucial for a holistic development. Difficult concepts are broken down in smaller ones through scaffolding using different techniques differentiated according to each child`s individual need.
It is important to push each child past their comfort zone, and I do exactly that with the students I tutor by challenging them in different ways.

Nur has helped my daughter over the past few months prepare for her 11+ exam. She’s been great - I can definitely see an improvement in my daughter’s confidence and work, which has also been commented on by her teachers. Nur is patient and has a very calm and gentle tone which I feel makes her very approachable to children - I know my daughter certainly feels comfortable raising areas she’s uncertain of with Nur without any hesitance. I’d definitely recommend Nur & am grateful for all the help she has given my daughter.

My daughter required some additional practice with comprehension for her 11+ entrance exam. So a few months before her exam, Nur helped us with some lessons. My daughter really enjoyed her lessons with Nur. They were well planned and the homework she set was well targeted. I would recommend Nur.

Miss Nur has been such an amazing tutor so far for my son ,she had planned her lessons for my son so well to help him with ISEB exam in limited time that my son passed the exam despite time constraints.Miss Nur helps students where children needs more support in like in case of my son he was finding English SPAG part challenging and time management challenging for 11 plus too so she gives tips Important exam tips which really helps students to feel comfortable in their difficult subjects.my son has passed his 11 plus and also ISEB entrance thank you Miss Nur for your continuous encouragement and efforts . She plans her lessons extremely well and in advance and also gives homework to give that extra boost so that students remembers all that was covered in the class . Very organised and prompt to reply and prompt to plan and design a technique to help a child in their weaker areas at the same time covering all that is essential for passing exams, which is great. She works very hard and see to it that her student excel in every way, thank you Miss Nur for your hard work we appreciate it so much.
