I`m a qualified teacher who works in East London with experience of teaching from Nursery to Year 6 and have been working with children on and off for the last 20 years. I currently teach Year 6 and am a head of department and former assistant head.

I`ve worked with children of all ages and am as comfortable in engaging those children for whom English is not their first language or for whom reading and writing are `boring`, as well as those who need to be stretched and challenged or taught the tricks of the trade needed to pass exams. Ultimately my aim is for children to enjoy their learning.

Though my degree is in English Literature, my teaching experience means I`d be very happy to tutor for all subjects at a Primary level, particularly Maths and including tutoring specifically for 11+ exams (having tutored previously for the CEM and CSSE 11+ exams), as well as Secondary subjects up to Year 9 and English after that. I`m currently a tutor for 2 siblings in Year 6 and 8 and another young person who is also in Year 8.
