Information about Stephanie

I am a fully qualified secondary school French teacher and have just completed a PGCE in Secondary MFL. I speak French and some basic Italian and grew up in France, so my level of French is completely fluent.
I also hold a BA Hons in English and Creative Writing, and can offer this in my tutoring as well as French.
I have lots of experience working with children in schools, and thanks to this I am confident in my ability to enhance a pupil`s learning outside of school, and feel that through using games and fun activities, I can make the subject fun and interesting, as enjoyment is key!

I like to tailor my lessons to each pupil, making sure that I know exactly what level the tutee is at, and adapting my resources accordingly. I make sure that tutees are comfortable to ask all questions and are not afraid to make mistakes, even sometimes encouraging mistakes so that the pupil and myself can work out what might be incorrect and how to correct it together. I am not a clock watcher, and do not rush things to fit it all in one lesson - I would rather space out a subject over several lessons to make sure that understanding is clear, than squeeze it into one and be unsure if my pupil fully understands what they have just learnt.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekend daytimes.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have just finished a PGCE in Secondary MFL, and as a result have lots of experience of working in schools, mainly secondary but also some primary. I am confident in the classroom, and use a "firm but fair" approach, making sure to adapt my lessons depending on ability and making lessons fun and interactive in the hopes of promoting a passion for the subject.
