Information about Matthew
I am a qualified (QTS) Mathematics/Physics teacher, having trained at a leading independent school. I am a BSc (Hons) Physics graduate from Bristol University, with 8 years private tutoring experience at GCSE and A Level.
I now split my time between tutoring, supply teaching, and running my own business.
I was a postgraduate at Cambridge University (Jesus College).
I am have two professional memberships: Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society (FRAS) and Member of Institute of Physics (MInstP).
It has been so rewarding to see my tutoring service grow in both breadth of subjects and number of students (50+ to date).
I have taken on students all around the world e.g Moscow and Singapore.
In addition to the academic content of sessions I persist in nurturing inquisitiveness. More succinctly: I follow a `fundamentals first` approach. This makes the difference between just being an excellent student, and an excellent scientist/mathematician.
Availability: Certain weekday afternoons and evenings.
Online service only for the foreseeable future.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am a registered private tutor with two major London tutoring agencies.
I have developed a large client base over the 8 years that I have been tutoring privately.
I hold an *Enhanced* DBS clearance.

Matthew is a brilliant, friendly tutor. He always pushes me to ask questions and explore beyond my A-Level curriculum, helping me develop skills in scientific methods. He has made the effort to get to know me and the ways in which I learn, as well as understanding my aims for the future. He supports me with any issues I may have in school and covers the topics I feel I want help with most. Matthew ensures I build a strong basis for my knowledge, enabling me to understand concepts in much greater depth, as well as helping me make links with my other subjects and between different topics.
