Hi!

I`m Habiba, a final year BSc Geography student. I have 100+ hours of tuition experience and have helped 10 students over this time, improve in their knowledge and exam techniques. I am always aiming to bring out the best from my students, by building their confidence and encouraging them to always have a go. I have also worked as an interviewer on a tutoring platform where I interviewed prospective tutors, so I am aware of the different characteristics a good tutor must have and hold myself to that standard.

With a passion for both Geography and English, I am dedicated to encouraging pupils to try their hardest and not be afraid of mistakes. I understand with learning comes with making mistakes and overcoming them can lead to some amazing growth and development. Quality education should involve creative learning, where pupils can build their knowledge and understanding of the topic while taking the necessary risks of getting the wrong answer. I am patient and understanding, and can learn how to bring out the best in each student by taking the time to get to know each student and tailoring my teaching style to each individual to bring out their best.

In my lessons I incorporate a variety of methods such as videos, diagrams and questions in order to be able to explain concepts to my pupils with as much detail as possible. I use presentations to guide my student through the different concepts and include practise questions to make sure they are able to apply their knowledge. I constantly recap previous lessons to ensure that topics already covered are not forgotten as I found this method worked really well for me during my GCSE`s and A-levels.

I offer the first lesson for free on my behalf and I am available to tutor any exam board.

Experience: I have been tutoring online for almost two years in KS3, GCSE and A-level with almost 100 hours of tutoring. I have some experience with teaching SEN students and am very patient and understanding when tutoring with them. I help students with their individual concerns and teach with their personality and learning styles in mind to keep my students comfortable.
