Science Teacher with 5 years teaching experience having taught GCSE Chemistry, GCSE Physics, GCSE Biology, and GCSE Combined Sciences, and Key Stage 3 (11-14) science. I have experience of a range of exam boards (including Edexcel (GCSE and iGCSE) and AQA).

A tailored student-centred approach is key to my tutoring. Depending on the student`s age and current Key Stage we will begin by assessing current knowledge and find strengths and weaknesses. We will then begin a targeted approach to learning that will focus on evidence-based techniques for learning.

I am up to date with modern metacognitive learning practices and have a range of tools to assess current knowledge and understanding to target areas for growth. I engage in extra continued professional development and lead a learning and teaching working group.

I believe feeling inspired is important for the understanding and love of science, and I like to use as much real-life application examples as possible in my teaching.
